The North Peace Rod and Gun Club has immediate openings for a Range Operator.  We are also interested in part time Range Operators to cover vacation, other leaves, and special events at the range facility in Charlie Lake.  

Successful applicants will have good communication and computer skills, basic repair & maintenance skills, be 19 years of age or older, and must have or be able to acquire a valid Firearms PAL/RPAL, ATV Safety, Tractor Safety and WHMIS.  “Food Safe” and “Serving it Right” tickets are assets and can be attained at a later date.  

Range Operators are responsible for upkeep of range and club facilities throughout the year and include tasks such as yard and range maintenance, register and orient club members, maintain range equipment, clubhouse scheduling, membership renewal, monitoring of summer student staff, special events, etc.

NOTES:

Full and Part time positions – (pay – $19+/hr).   This is not an overly strenuous position and would be suited to a semi-retired individual.  These positions could be compared to looking after a campsite or RV Park.

The North Peace Rod and Gun Club is dedicated to maintaining and promoting recreational opportunities for its members via the shooting sports, hunting, fishing, conservation and protection of wildlife. The NPRGC club is seeking a student to fill a Summer Labourer Position at their office at the Dressler Memorial Range in Charlie Lake. 

Laborer, Dressler Memorial Range

June 27, 2017- August 27, 2017

40 hrs/week    Remuneration –  $14.00hr                                       

 Working under the direct supervision of the Range Operator, the hired student   employee will undertake all range maintenance and misc. tasks assigned, including grass cutting, painting, cleaning, Club house upkeep, signing in of members, range maintenance, moving of various range equipment, etc

Successful candidates will have:

Student Gr. 11+ returning to school in September 2018, good interpersonal skills, ability to follow instructions, learn and work with tools and related equipment and machinery.
