North Peace Rod and Gun Club

Volunteers Rick Ekkel and Chuck Mercanti brought their expertise in firearms safety training and shooting to the gun club on Sunday afternoon after a request from a women’s group for some training. Rick and Chuck, also directors of the club, spent several hours with the women taking them through basic firearms safety and then down to the indoor range for some .22 rifle and handgun shooting.

The shooting facilities at the North Peace Rod and Gun Club with be fully or partially closed on the following dates because of special events or caretaker holidays:

The indoor handgun range will also be closed on the evenings of April 15, 18, 19 and all day April 20 because of the kids’ CORE course that will be taking place in the clubhouse.

The North Peace Rod and Gun wishes all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. The club will be closed starting on Saturday, December 22, 2012 and reopens on Thursday, January 3, 2013

April 28 and 29 PAL/PALR Course Poster

The North Peace Rod and Gun Club will be closed from December 21, 2011 to January 1, 2012 for the holidays. The Range Reopens on January 2, 2012 at noon.

Starting Monday, January 2, 2012 the range will be open:

Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays: 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Saturdays and Sundays: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Statutory Holidays: July 1, 2012, August 6, 2012, and September 3, 2012

The range will be closed:

Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Christmas Break, and all statutory holidays other than those listed above.

During the period of October 1, 2011 until March 30, 2012:

Handguns and 22 Rifle

The Indoor Pistol Range be open on Tuesday Nights from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm for IDPA or IPSC shooting, and Thursday Nights from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.as an Open Night for pistols and kids 22 rifle.

Archery

The Indoor Pistol Range be open on Monday Nights from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Wednesday Nights from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.as an Open Nights for Archery.

Please arrive before 7:30 PM otherwise the organizer may close the range and leave.

The Oilman’s Trap Shoot is on July 8th and 9th, and to accommodate this annual event, the range will be closed for all other activities from noon on July 8th until the morning of Sunday, July 10.

The outdoor pistol range will be closed June 10-12 because it will be used for defensive shotgun and pistol courses. These are instructor led course in the defensive use of shotguns and pistols. Friday is the shotgun course, Saturday is defensive pistol and Sunday is advanced defensive pistol.

The outdoor pistol range will be closed June 10-12 to accommodate these training courses. The rest of the range, including the indoor pistol range, remain open during normal operating hours.

The North Peace Rod and Gun Club is pleased to announce that the indoor handgun and small bore range will reopen on Saturday, April 2, 2011 after many months of planning, upgrading of the ventilation system and backstopping, and hard work by members of the handgun committee.
