2020 Youth Trap League Windup

This year we had some great young shooters — they came out and all did there best and we had some amazing improvement from the beginning of the season.

We recorded their scores and decided to give them a final wind down to get them excited for the next year. Organizers Dave Bonar and Nicholas Wik decided to get the kids a range bag that had the rod and gun clubs logo on it. The most improved and high overall shooters were also given a Buck Knife that was also engraved with the rod and gun club logo. The high overall award this year went to Colby Snider with a score of 90 and the most improved went to Cooper Lusk.

The yearend event included shoots that went towards the kids’ score for the year and ended with Annie Oakley shoots. The kids really enjoyed the Annies and at the same time brought out there competitive nature! They all really enjoyed the games and we didn’t have a single youth who wanted to sit out.

The day was wrapped up by serving the youth a COVID-19 friendly lunch that was prepared and served in a responsible manner. Nicholas would like to encourage any young people who are curious about shooting trap, or shooting in general, to come out next year and give it a try. Youth don’t need to worry if they don’t have a shotgun, as we will get them set up. Nicholas would also like to thank everyone who participated in the youth trap league this year as it was a lot of fun and he is hoping to see you all next year!
