Five shooters from the North Peace Rod & Gun Club were in Vernon in September for pre-provincial and provincial trap shooting championship with each person winning or tying some of their events. Two of our shooters did exceptionally well, achieving their first 100 straight badges in initial singles competition. Both shooters went on to repeat by shooting 100 straight in the second half singles and a remarkable 200 straight. This is a huge accomplishment as a 200 straight has not been shot in the provincials since 2002, making this a spectacular achievement for not one, but two shooters. Tip Johnson and Garth Willson went on to a shoot-off to determine the winner with Garth winning after another 50 targets. Garth also won High All Around (events 4,5,7&8) with 384/400 and High Over All (events 1-8) with 760/800.
The NPRGC would like to congratulate all our shooters who attended the provincials and especially recognize the outstanding results of Garth and Tip.
