The NPR&G Clubs 2025 PITA shoot was a great success, with up to 37 shooters per event. They came from as far away as Vancouver, Vernon, Kamloops, Horsefly, Smithers, Prince George, Westlock, High Prairie, Grande Prairie and Wembly. The weather was great, resulting in some of our highest scores ever. The club had one of the top shooters in B.C. (Dave Jeffrey) give a seminar on Trap Shooting Friday evening. Dave Jeffrey and Brian Hazen helped set our targets and showed a lot of our members how to set and trouble shoot our trap machines and voice call. The whole shoot went over really well, with all shooters in awe of our club and volunteers.
We had a few milestones at our event, some first time 25’s and 50’s straight and congratulations to Brian Hazen for shooting his 100,000 PITA target at our club. (He hit it too)
The club would like to thanks the sponsors for helping with the shoot: Sasha Plotnikow, Roy Northern for the Friday night burgers, Kassian family for the Saturday burgers, Babuick family for the Sunday Burgers, Wade Wickham, Swift Oilfield for the Saturday wine, D-W Wilson, Balon Valve, Great West Equipment, Armour Lubricants, Rapid Wireline, Elite Technologies, Backcounry, Dan’s Rentals, Dave Bonar, and Dave Wallace for the wonderful silent auction items.
Thanks to the Club and all our volunteers who helped put on a great shoot.
This is an email I just received from a shooter out of Vancouver:
Hi Dave:
I just wanted to thank you once again for the incredible shoot in Fort St. John. I was genuinely impressed by the setting, the level of competition, and the overall organization of the event. You and your entire team -Mathew, Kelly, Dave, Garth, Chris, Burke, Greg and the rest of the crew put in a tremendous amount of effort, and it really showed. I am sure I am not the only one who noticed and appreciated it.
I also want to say having Dave Jeffrey give a presentation was a brilliant idea. It was well received, and people truly appreciated the opportunity to learn from him. You could see how many were taking notes – and then the high scores that followed in the next days. My own scores were no exception, and I truly credit them to the insights Dave shared.
Once again, thank you for the great atmosphere, high standards, and professionalism throughout the entire event.
I have to say: The further you go from Vancouver the more wonderful people you meet.
All the best
Dusan Remais
I thanked Dusan for the wonderful email he sent us.
